It took a visitor from France to point out that I needed to make the service times more obvious than they were. C'est la vie!

Church of England in Cramlington

St. Nicholas' Church in Cramlington village is the mother church of the parish. (Click here for some historical background.) After St. Peter's and St. Andrew's churches were planted, the congregations at St. Nicholas' decided to plant a new church as a new congregation within their own church. This became the First Eleven service now called Family Worship service.

The more traditional services of Holy Communion at 8am and Family Communion at 9.30am developed and grew, and all now have a solid core group of members. The Wednesday 10.00am morning service is popular with those who are unable to get to church on a Sunday.

All these congregations meet in the beautiful Victorian church building which was built between 1865 and 1868.

The bell tower is 'home' to the the St. Nicholas Bellringers who ring the bells for services and weddings. For more information about them, look on the Activities page.
