Church of England in Cramlington

St. Nicholas' Church in Cramlington village is the mother church of the parish. (Click here for some historical background.) After St. Peter's and St. Andrew's churches were planted, the congregations at St. Nicholas' decided to plant a new church as a new congregation within their own church. This became the First Eleven service.

The more traditional services of Said Communion at 8am and Parish Communion at 9.30am developed and grew, and all now have a solid core group of members. The Wednesday morning service is popular with those who are unable to get to church on a Sunday.

All these congregations meet in the beautiful Victorian church building which was built between 1865 and 1868.
For more information about these services, click their names above or in the list below:

The bell tower is 'home' to the the St. Nicholas Bellringers who ring the bells for services and weddings. For more information about them, look on the Activities page.
