Schools in Cramlington Cramlington Parish has 15 schools: a high school, five middle schools, a special school, and 8 first schools. Two of these are Roman Catholic Schools. Cragside First School has recently become a Church of England School. The churches have friendly links with all Cramlington's schools. Many church people are involved on Boards of Governors or working in schools. School children come along to children's and youth activities in the churches. Church people regularly assist with school assemblies. St Nicholas' church frequently welcomes school groups as part of their studies in the National Curriculum. Sometimes this is for art and environmental studies outside the building and in the churchyard. More often groups come in and spend a lesson exploring the church, its signs, symbols and objects significant for Christian faith. Please contact Hilary if you would like to arrange a school visit. |
