Baptism is the full rite of initiation into the Christian Church. When infants are baptised, parents and godparents make statements of faith on behalf of the child.
It is most important that parents and godparents can make these statements with integrity and with the full intention of setting the child an example of Christian discipleship.

The Anderson family had their baby baptised in St. Nicholas' Church

Children whose parents live in Cramlington are very welcome at baptism. The Baptism Information leaflet, which can be viewed online, explains what is required of parents bringing their children for baptism.
