In baptism, we thank God for his gift of
life and publicly acknowledge his love. In the Anglican Church it is common to
baptise young children; this is sometimes known as christening. Baptism
marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our
lives, the first step in response to
God’s love. It is a joyful moment when we rejoice in what God has done
for us in Christ, making serious promises and declaring the faith. Baptism
takes place during the morning services of all three Anglican churches in
Cramlington. There are also services on some Sunday afternoons. If
you are considering baptism for yourself or for your child please contact: Revd
